Trade Appliances is the UK's leading independent retailer of built in kitchen appliances. Thanks to the internet and the sophistication of the xCommerce platform, it has been able to expand from a 2 outlet regional operation in Nottingham to a national business handling 11,000 visitors a day with turnover of over £23 million.

Kiss Technologies' xCommerce software is the backbone of the Trade Appliances operation, powering 5 web sites and a call centre for sales, along with integrated order processing, fulfillment and customer service operations. Molton Brown

Molton Brown are a modern luxury goods company, producing "innovative products of exceptional quality that offer solutions to contemporary lifestyle challenges". They operate internationally with stores and product presence in department stores, hotels and restaurants in 15 countries, and loyal customers in over 150.

Such a disparate client base needs serving well and the internet provides the most efficient way to communicate with and provide for customers. Molton Brown needed a solid base and sophisticated technology to handle their fast growing business, and Kiss Technologies has been providing for their online, mail order and telephone sales requirements since 2000.

The website offers customers the option of multiple currencies, a variety of international shipping options, as well as automatic detection of the user's country and the presentation of relevant content to them.

Molton Brown outsource their fulfillment to Iforce (www.iforcegroup.com), a specialist fulfillment and logistics company, and we integrated the sales and customer service side system based on xCommerce with their bespoke logistics systems so that orders can be taken and processed in real time, with instant reporting of stock levels and availability to sales staff, as well as the status of a customer's order.

1cover

1cover is a global travel insurance company which started in 2003 with a mission to deliver high quality, low cost travel insurance efficiently over the internet. It currently operates in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

Kiss Technologies was commissioned to build a state of the art quoting and fulfillment engine for a flexible range of insurance products, and delivered it in just three months using the xCommerce platform as its backbone.

The first website selling travel insurance to Australia, www.1cover.com.au, launched in March 2004, with the other operations launching over a 6 month period.
